The controlled burning of sugarcane fields before harvest is one of the most visually spectacular things Ambrosia produces — and it produces it regularly. The fires run along the field rows in straight lines that glow against the late afternoon sky, sending smoke across the horizon toward the Allied Crystal refinery smokestacks that are already contributing their own output to the haze. Power line towers cut geometric shapes against the orange clouds. A helicopter crosses the frame at altitude. The whole composition is the industrial and agricultural machinery of Ambrosia operating at full capacity simultaneously — burning, processing, transporting, monitoring — and the light it produces at this hour is extraordinary.
