The Grassrivers wetlands are not a chase environment by design. They become one by necessity — when you need to be somewhere the police can't easily follow, the flooded marsh buys distance in a way that paved roads don't. A truck pushes through shin-deep water with an armed passenger in the bed. A police SUV maintains pace behind it, blue lights catching the spray. A helicopter works the sky above both of them, covering the angles the vehicles can't. Birds scatter from the grass in every direction. And in the shallows to the right, a single alligator watches the whole operation with the detached interest of a creature that has seen stranger things cross its territory. The Grassrivers absorbs everything eventually. The question is always just how long the pursuit lasts before it does.
